Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Miller Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict quality standards while maintaining efficient production workflows. Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC milling machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, including SolidWorks for design interpretation.
- Operate CNC mills to produce parts with high precision, adhering to detailed engineering drawings and technical requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools, gauges, and measurement devices to ensure quality standards are met.
- Adjust machine parameters and tooling as needed to optimize performance and maintain tight tolerances.
- Perform basic maintenance on CNC equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Support additional manufacturing processes such as grinding, welding, or assembly when required, especially in plastics injection molding applications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks and CAM programming tools for toolpath generation.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during machining processes.
- Knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures, and tool wear management.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and various hand-held measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform welding or grinding tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £15.50-£17.00 per hour
